Hi all,

is it possible to define a marker inside a Tiddler and jump directly
to this marker from
(a) the same Tiddler or
(b) another Tiddler or
(c) outside (i.e.: give a perma-link to the marker inside the
tiddler)?

If so: how?

Thanks a lot & nice greetings,
Stefan.

I'm afraid this is not possible by default, at least without resorting
to raw HTML. Especially with regards to accessing such a "marker" (or
anchor) from the outside, that's difficult because TiddlyWiki renders
page contents dynamically.
The DcTableOfContentsPlugin* uses anchors, but I'm not sure that suits
your purpose here.

Well, thanks, F., for your answer. -- What a pity! I sometimes have
really long tiddlers and would love to link to a table or a header
"down
below"...
How come? Isn't it a basic Wiki feature, like in Wikipedia?
How/where can I file a change request? ;-)

Cheers,
Stefan.

Weeeeeelll ... many people might say that TiddlyWiki is geared towards
micro-content, so you shouldn't have long tiddlers in the first place,
but rather split them up into individual units.
Search the group archives; there are some interesting discussions ion
this in the past.

As I've said, this is difficult because page contents (tiddlers) are
generated dynamically. Anchors work properly only with largely static
HTML pages.

Hi Stefan,

I actually just wrote a AnchorsPlugin for TiddlyWiki for another project.
I'll try and make that available this weekend.

It will let you add anchors to tiddlers using [[#anchorname]] and link to them by doing:
[[tiddlerName#anchorname]]

Cheers,
Saq

Hi Saq,

that sounds very interesting. I thought about that kind of
interface. ;-)

Please keep me posted on this! :-)

Cheers,
Stefan.
