Hello all, 

I would like to announce TiddlyServer 2.0.6. Thanks to feedback from several users we have ironed out some bugs. I thought I would let everyone know about this release because I am confident that it is quite stable. 

Also, the bundled version only contains a total of 158 individual files in different folders instead of several thousand, making it much quicker to extract and copy. I did this by bundling all the different plugins into one file per plugin/theme/language. 

I bundled the core "plugin" as well. This brought the file count down significantly. I also removed the editions folder entirely and am including it as a separate download. 

I am planning to always use the latest version of TiddlyWiki with TiddlyServer and set the version in the dependency in package.json.

In case you're wondering, I normally run the master branch when using TiddlyServer myself, which is a lot this month. I mostly use data folders rather than files.

This month I am taking a course on English teaching and am using a data folder with TiddlyServer to keep my notes. And the data folder is stored in my Dropbox folder, which seems to be working for me.

Hello Arlen,

Let me be the one of the first in this thread to thank you for your dedicated work on TiddlyServer 2 and generous efforts to bring it to the Tiddlywiki community. I have been following the updates and have been testing it on my laptop and more recently on a linux home server during the last several days. I have an almost working setup and have some questions that I will post when I got more time in my hand. 

I will suffice to say for now that I am considering TiddlyServer as a very capable alternative to tiddyfox route to access and edit single file wikis (especially since that option may not work by the same time next year), and despite my ignorance on all the aspects of a node.js server relating to Tiddlywiki or not, I can see that this is only a small part of what TiddlyServer can do. So, thank you! :)

Its a great gadget. Thankyou! Come this time next year, when browser saver add-ons fail, I think a lot of us will be using it.

A small point on the included "start.cmd" (Windows Command Prompt batch file). I found on my machine I had to add an initial line to get the command processor active in the correct directory.

FWIW, here is what it looks like ..

cd C:\bag\pages\tw\_bucket\tserver
node server

AltugOz, thank you. It was many hours of enjoyable work, so I am glad that people are finding it useful.

@TiddlyTweeter, that is strange. It should open with the CD set to the directory it is contained in automatically. So I'm not sure what you're exact usage is, but a simple double click in windows explorer, or a shortcut to the same, should open it correctly. That is how I would recommend using it: leave it in the folder and create a shortcut to it. This can be easily done with Alt + drag.

I played around a bit. And indeed it works from Windows Explorer on Windows 7.

I normally use a replacement explorer, for some reason it doesn't CD to the path. That's maybe a bug in it. I will alert the developer.
