[TW5] How can I use non-Latin characters in field names?

Hi! I have field "price" in my Russian tiddlers. But some people don't know English. so they want to see Russian variant "цена" as field name when they edit tiddler. And use it in {{мой товар!!цена}}

Is the any way to make it?

did you test it? js uses unicode, so it should work,

Hi sini-Kit, PMario,

Currently, the system enforces a subset of ASCII characters for field entry, as shown below.

The reason is that when the wiki is saved fields are saved as HTML attributes, and historically there has only been robust browser support for ASCII characters.

If you want to experiment, it's easy to bypass the warning message, though, by creating the attributes via other means (eg the action-setfield widget).

ouch, .. I forgot about this setting :/

We should definitely try to find a way, to store tiddler unicode content in a better way.
