Suggestion: Rendered snippets

The new editor has a feature that allows you to drop in snippets of text. Great!

I would like to suggest that there be a second kind of snippet, where the snippet gets rendered (Notice I'm avoiding the "E" word) before it's dropped in.

This would be useful for say, a journal tiddler where you want to drop in a list of everything you tagged as "DONE" that day. Or all the items you tagged with "2016" and "BlackFriday". Or for dropping in a permanent date/time stamp. Any time you wanted a permanent snapshot of the status of some activity or condition.

That's an interesting idea. ... You should create a "feature request" at github. ... The list is long there, but here it will be forgotten.
