I just discovered TW a few days ago. TiddlySnip looks like a really
cool plugin and I would love to try it. Unfortunately, I have Firefox
version 3.6.10.

The TiddlySnip zip for FF 3.6.8 doesn't work in my FF. Does anyone
feel like making a zip to work with this FF? or feel like telling me
how to do it?

The procedure for updating the max version number is given at:

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Editing_an_add-on_to_change_its_compatibility

I have a version that I have tested on 3.6.10 where the max version
is specified as 3.*

However, I am not sure what the procedure is for posting .xpi files to
this group is?

I uploaded "tiddlySnip121beta-cbr3plus.zip" to the files area of this
group.
you need to rename the file type to ".xpi" before using File->open
file.

I just tested it on FF 3.6.10. The maxium FF version is specified as
3.*
so it should be okay until the major version number goes to four (4).

... Continuing
Bob: I just tried everything I could think of to install the xpi I
modified. Everything I tried produced the Firefox incompatibility
message. I tried 3.*, 3.6.* and 3.6.10, editting with Notepad and
building a new .zip & renaming it to .xpi each time.

=> No joy

Hoping you will post your file somewhere I can pick it up.

Thanks

Apparently, Google isn't supporting file upload anymore. When I
clicked on your file, it says,
"The page you navigated to does not exist. "

I understand people have been using DropBox for this. Could you put it
there?

In the meantime, I will try to follow those instructions you gave.

Thanks for the help!
