Hi all,

I am a student in Dublin and am experimenting with TiDB.

What I would like  to know (just for testing - minimal data and load), is it possible to run a PD, a TiDB and a TiKV all on the one server?

And then to have three such machines and connect them into a multinode cluster?

TIA and regards,

Pól...

It is possible. But we do not recommend to deploy tikv and pd on the same machine (especially on the same disk). You can try TiDB in that way just for demo and experience.  Please refer to this document to orchestrate your TiDB cluster.

That's exactly what I wanted it for! I did get a cluster up and
running (Dublin, Virginia and Mumbai) and am quite impressed!

If I ever want to go into production, yes of course - there's not much
point in putting multiple components onto a system which can't have
any SPOFs! :-)

谢谢
