I have fished for shad for a few years catching enough to keep me occupied on the river.  I have always just been on the water from sunrise till noon.  Reading one of the old posts in here got me thinking, do most people target them on certain tides instead of times of day?

Frankly, I fish for them when I can, which is usually before work or after work.   My only two factors are: 1) is the river fishable, and 2) when can I go?  I avoid weekends unless that is the only time I can go.  That said, I definitely do better as a general rule on a moving tide.
