Hoping to tap into the forum network as I'm headed down to Atlanta for a work conference from May 14-16. I'm hoping to stay over another day (Sunday May 17) to try and fish the Toccoa or Chattahoochie with a guide. I'm trying to save some money and so have outlined a few scenarios.

Scenario 1 - I rent a car which has a back seat that doubles as my couch, I drive in the morning to fish with the guide and spend money I don't have. Then I drive myself back to the airport and head home penniless and alone.

Scenario 2 - Someone on this forum has a friend who lives in Atlanta and is also obsessed with fly fishing for big fish and also wants to save money on a guide. That person happens to have a car and a couch and likes hosting like minded fisherman who have good taste in whiskey. Also the host likes driving to the airport or at least to public transportation that goes to the airport...

Scenario 3 - Some combination of scenarios one and two that end with me splitting the cost of a fishing guide.

If you know anyone who might be interested in splitting the cost of a fly fishing guide in the Atlanta area please PM me at dhma...@gmail.com. I'll be booking the flights soon so ideally I'd lock down any fishing trip in the coming weeks.

Tight lines!

I don't know any guides in Atlanta, but I did used to live there and can tell you where I used to go when staying close to the city.
the 'hooch is awesome and ive had some of my best days fishing 300ft from the bridges of major traffic.

Must be close to 15 years now, but 3 of my best days fishing ever were on the 'Hooch, just as D. Walker attests.
