When I lived in PA, I'd occasionally spot one of these genetically modified organisms in Commonwealth waters. Saw a particularly large one in the brood pond at Lil Le Hi Fish Hatchery in Allentown on Saturday. I've long thought of this fish's coloration being an announcement to predators that says: Eat Me!

Banana Fish, feel sorry for the blighters. I dream of one day living in a world devoid of hatchery fish. In the meantime, Palomino's serve as good "indicator" fish.
