shore fishing that section of rock creek is great... but very muddy slippery, shrubby, and hooking the old pilons is par for the course.

Is Thompson's the best place to launch a kayak for Rock Creek? Or could you launch from the Roosevelt Island parking lot, paddle around the island and then go over to the DC side up Rock Creek?
