Fathers Day Fishing

So, I know it is going to be a scorcher tomorrow, but my Dad is in town and I was hoping to get him out early for a couple hours of fishing before it gets too hot.

Does anyone have any suggestions within 30-45 minutes of D.C. where we could spend an hour or two in the early morning? I was thinking we could either walk part of the C&O, or get a boat at Fletcher's, but if anyone had a better idea that'd be great.
