Potomac Heritage Trail (VA Side)

I've never scoped out or fished the Potomac Heritage Trail along the GW Parkway.

First, is that possible and,

Second, is it even worth it?

The PHT is extremely fishable. I prefer fishing on the va side over the Fletcher's side.

Yes and yes. It depends on water levels, with lower being friendlier. You can fish from rocks on that side around Chain Bridge for shad. Above Little Falls dam, you'll be looking for bass.

Gulf Branch nature center, GW parkway overlook lots, TR island lot. Blue line the VA side and follow any of the feeder streams down.

My favorite is Donaldson run, it's about a mile long hike to the river which seems to discourage a lot of the baitchuckers
