I was stumped yesterday. I was out there yesterday from 9-11:30 and threw practically everything I had.

Anyone having much luck at the tidal basin in the evenings?

I seem to be the only person I've seen out there and have been stumped 3x.

Its not always what you throw but how you throw it and retrieve. Fish slow. Move the fly more. And slow down.

I've had luck in the evening, but my son who fishes with worms can't keep the bluegill off, so I know they are in there.

However evening leading into a high tide seems to get the larger fish more active.  Around low tide, I only catch bluegill.
