In early 2023, TPFR supported the 4MR project through fundraising efforts. Chapter members and TPFR forum members donated to the 2023 and 2025 launch fundraising campaigns. I thank all who donated and helped make this project a reality.
The 4MR Kayak Launch is now complete and opened on December 10, 2025. https://www.fourmilerun.org/2025/12/kayak-launch-construction-complete.html. Opening ceremonies are planned for Spring 2026.
The launch provides easy access to the Potomac River and is located at the end of Commonwealth Avenue on 4MR, near the Four Mile Run Cora Kelly Girls Softball Field in Alexandria, VA.
