USGS website shows that thePotomac water temps broke 50F today. I know many of you chasing the shad have been watching this threshold. Should this also impact the outgoing tide action at Gravely? I've been told its better at night. Others have mentioned dawn/dusk tides. Just looking for some pointers on how to target my time. I've never fished at night in the darkness, but have a head lamp. Is there ambient light from the airport? I notice the signage states the park opens at 4AM now so I'm thinking about trying the early morning outgoing tides during the week.
Should I be throwing anything else besides clousers?
