July Casting Church on the Monocacy with CWA

Come join TPFR and the Chesapeake Women Anglers for a Casting Church ON THE WATER followed by a fun day of fishing.

Meet at Devilbiss Bridge on the Monocacy (NW of Frederick, MD) from 9 a.m. on Sunday, July 12.

While this event is open to all levels, it is a really good opportunity for beginners. The Monocacy River is wide open at this point and the wading is fairly easy, with some places with cobblestone, so it's a good idea to bring your wading staff.

After our casting tune-up, we will be targeting Bluegill and Bass, so bring flies for those species. The suggested rod weight is 4, 5, or 6.
