Here's our latest Shad Report. The run may last well into June given the cold weather and low water temps. This week should be great.

   Thanks for the great report.
Can you please describe the location of Gordon's Rock? I keep seeing the reference to it, and it sounds like a good place to find shad.

Try this Friends of Fletcher's Cove Website link  https://www.friendsoffletcherscove.org/fletchers-landmarks/ expand the map and you will have all of the landmarks and then some.

enjoy.

Thanks to Daniel for posting the link that I keep forgetting to include in the reports. Mike Bailey will probably stop talking to me. Nice as this map is, there’s no substitute for going down to the river and observing where people fish. Gordon’s Rock is where the trail from Fletcher’s first meets the river. You will probably find shad anglers there to talk to and learn from. I love that a certain rock was named after such a great person as Gordon Leisch. Ironically, it is a rock that was placed there in the 60’s when the fill area and structured shoreline were constructed—the very project that caused the heavy cove sedimentation threatening Fletcher’s Cove. We at FFC love Gordon but his rock needs to be removed along with the rest of the made land.
