Just curious if anyone knows if the roads and access points around the Gunpowder were affected by last weekend's storm that dropped 6" of rain in Ellicott City? I don't mean current water levels, which are transient, I'm talking about what may have happened to the stream bed and nearby roads. Thanks for any info.

My friend, who lives in Baltimore, fished there a few times right after the Ellicott flooding (and fishes it often).  He usually texts me pretty detailed reports and did so this week. For what it's worth, he didn't mention anything regarding issues with the stream bed, erosion, nearby roads, etc.  If there was anything worth noting, I'm sure he would have said something.

Did he mention brown trout moving sinuously through the grass?

The storm that caused that devastation didn't extend that far north. GP drainage got between 0.5-2" of rain so I doubt it was impacted beyond moving a few logs around here and there.

Worst damage seems to be some ruts between the roads and parking lots, and I'm sure the crack staff of the MD DNR will be right on those.
