"The Trout and the Fly: A New Approach"

Looking around youtube and found a very interesting video titled "The Educated Trout".  Its a video by Brian Clarke and John Goddard about thier book "The Trout and the Fly: A New Approach".  I have to admit as a novice that I did not know who these guys were (just found out that John Goddard passed away in Dec.) but I am very interested in there idea of dissecting a fly pattern to mimic what the fish actually sees in a dry fly and not what we see.  Going to look online for a used copy of this and check out the fly patterns.  Has anyone read this book before and was it helpful? I know they were not the first or only guys to try this method out but I'm surprised more flys are not tyed or sold in this style.

I can see you are having a very productive Friday, but maybe watching fishing youtubes is better than BSing about your bracket or streaming the games. Do you have a link to picture of the flies they came up with for those who can't kill an hour watching a VHS on youtube?
