Just got a phone call letting everyone know that they’re working on Canal Road in front of Fletcher’s.  You cannot drive in.

If you can get there, you can rent boats still, but you’d have to either walk/ride a bike on the tow path either north from Georgetown or south from  either Arizona Avenue or from Chain Bridge.  Apparently you cannot access the walkway from Reservoir Road.

Is this related to the sink-hole issue that they were looking at a week or so ago?

I just left there.  Foreman says they hope to be done by 7PM.  Meanwhile folks are parking at the Safeway (or that hood) on Mcarthur and walking down.  The shad bite is really good and the stripers are hitting artificials

I am trying to get my little brother out for his first shad run.  I normally bounce around the rocks under Chain Bridge.  Hes only 11, any suggestions for an easier access point for shad and possibly a striper if were lucky.

Tight lines,

Dan Barrett
