Looks like a bit of precip is on the way. Tailwaters sound like the best bet for the weekend. Wife and I plan on hitting the Wydown tomorrow am.

Maybe the Gunpowder will be fishing well, although I imagine Beaver Creek, MD will be fishing better.

Beth and I hit a VA freestone today -- didn't go in knowing what to expect with overnights so low now, but it was far better than expected.  I personally watched her catch 23 trout...most on dropper nymphs, but several on dries.  

Rest of weekend may be total crapshoot with rain and butt-cold temps.

Glad to hear it. I had a total bust on a mid-Shenandoah stocker stream yesterday (I forgot my thermometer but I doubt the water temps were over 40). Mind if I ask were you catching stockers or going after Brookies?

The gunpowder was okay but slow. I missed a few and only landed one. There actually were some rises including one that tried to eat my indicator.

Ashley -- we had one pool with a riser in it, but didn't get him.  Saw a lot of what appeared to be midges flying around.
