Guide in Colorado?

Heading out in two weeks to Colorado Ski Country.  Any recommendations for guides while I'm there?  Sorry Rob, I can't pay your travel allowance.

Hey Brian,

Depends on where in Co. you'll be, but I've had a lot of good success recommending Freestone Outfitters to customers.  One of the guides, Dave Lovell, is a friend of mine and has taken a few TPFRers out.  Check out their site and see if they are near where you'll be.  Ironically, I'm heading to Missoula tomorrow for the Orvis Guide Rendezvous, so I'll see Dave while I'm there.  I'm sure others will chime in with some great recommendations as well.

Thanks, guys.  Yep, dream stream is the target, I'll be staying at a friend's cabin on eleven mile.  Been successful in the past but can always use some tips and tricks.  Thanks again!

Fish the top of Elevenmile with thread midges size 22. Big streamers in plunge pools. One of my all time favorite waters. I suggest Breckenridge Outfitters, Blue Quill Angler, or Anglers Covey.

Brian-

I just fished with my good friend who is a retired guide (kids took over) but as his real estate business lulls when the fish bite, he would probably take you out.  He is based in Arvada but knows the ski areas well.  We had planned on fishing the Blue in Silverthorne but the weather was too shaky.  He has full line up of waders/boots/rods/flies.  His knowledge of insect species, hatches, rigs, fishy water is unreal.
