Such a good fly, such a pain to tie. It really isn't that bad other than getting the loose rabbit hair all over the place. I made quite a mess tying them.
I have tied them in size 2. Lately I have been in a phase where I tie and fish bigger flies for bass, smallmouth, etc. I tend to fish the Shenk's White Streamer for smallmouth and it has to be one of my most effective patterns and a go to pattern.
I am thinking that with the cool evenings we have been having lately I may have to start scouting the Occoquan for Stripers to see if they are there yet.

I've been catching 12-18" range for last 2 weeks on an outgoing tide @ Little Hunting Creek (under the bridge). You'll know they are there when you start hearing them feed. Hear about the kid that drown at the same spot?
