In case you hadn't seen yet, just one more kick in the nuts for Rock Creek. The DDOE classifies the mineral oil as "non toxic", but something tells me the smallmouth population downstream of Klingle Road is not going to take this well.

If it is indeed mineral oil, it's relatively benign. As regrettable as this is (and Pepco appears to have stepped up to correct the problem) there are far worse things one might spill into Rock Creek. Imagine all the non-point pollution that will enter Rock Creek the next time we get significant rainfall. As with all compounds, the dose makes the poison.
