I am headed out west to fish.  I could pack my wading boots or I could bring my korker sandals.  I have fished the area before and the river can get big but aren't I just looking for grip?  Pro and con appreciated.

The question is where, and how cold the water is.

Wading boots to keep your feet well protected and if it’s colder, sandals if the water is warmer and not so crazy.

If you are fishing in Maryland remember that felt soles are illegal.
