This month is supposed to feature deer hair tying. I don’t do that and won’t be able to demonstrate so we’ll tie a versatile bugger.
I will have materials for this long forgotten pattern. The “Travis Bead A Bugger” was a phenomenal pattern from Orvis in the 1990s. When I was learning to fish for trout in Pennsylavania back in the day this was my go to streamer. Numerous fish from the Yellow Breeches were taken on these.
I don’t know who Travis is/was and Rosenbauer stated he didn’t know who the tier was when asked. I have a few saved that I will bring.
A simple and slim bugger with flexi floss legs. Think of this as the love child of Pats Rubber Legs and a wooly bugger.
