Has anyone fished Holmes Run in Annandale/Falls Church lately? I've seen plenty of Trput and have tried many different techniques and flies but all I've managed to catch is a small brown. IF anyone has any tips on how to fish this stream it would be much appreciated.

I have fished the Holmes River and the Annotick Creek a few times in the last couple weeks and got into bluegill only. I spooked a single trout walking in the water, but that was the only one I saw. I also saw several others fishing and none were having any luck. Nor were they getting any hits. I would be curious if you find something close tot he Falls Church area with some trout. I have been told your best bet is to go to Mossy Creek, VA or Beaver Creek in Maryland. If I am able to get away this weekend I plan to go to the Mossy Creek area. Good luck.
