Fished Royal Lake last week (close to my home) and VDGIF were there in force. Apparently Royal Lake will be dredged over the next year or so. VDGIF were "electro shocking" the lake and collecting the fish for distribution to other lakes throughout Fairfax County. They were tight lipped as to where the fish were going. They had just begun the process but my brother-in-law watch them segregate fish types and saw several bass in the 15"-17" range. Largest I've caught there was 12". No more fishing there for awhile...looks like I'll be frequenting Lake Mercer.
