Holmes Run Tenkara

Spent a couple hours on Holmes Run this afternoon. It still smells, but for the first time in a while for me, not like skunk!
I received a Tenkara USA Iwana outfit for Christmas and was eager to try it out. Casting such a long rod (12') with overhanging branches will take getting used to, but I was able to put my Madame PMX w/ prince dropper pretty close to where I wanted much of the time. And when I got a hit, the rod had a nice bend and it was easy enough to bring in a 15" fish without a reel or stripping line. I think this rod is going to be a lot of fun, and at about 20" broken down, I'm going to have it with me more often than my others.

Nice catch. I enjoy my Ten Kara and always have it with on family hikes because it is light and small
