I went to the Rappahannock with a friend today.
We started below the Route 1 bridge. My friend caught an 18.5" striper. That is all we caught in that location.
We moved to an area above the bridge. I caught 6 shad. My friend caught 1. I also hooked a few and lost them.
There was someone else fishing in the area. He must have caught 30 or more during the time we were there.
Right now the river if flowing perfectly, clear, and it is fishing well. Get out there while you can!
