1st Snakehead!!! 5-26-13; several others as well

Well - it happened!  I had a really, really lucky day today fishing.  I took my cheap cabelas 3 weight and a spool of 4 pound mono down to the river with my bluegill box intending to toss softhackles to some panfish for fun while Beth was out running errands.  I noticed some LMB eating mummichogs along the bank, so I figured I'd tie on a little minnow fly and give it a chance.  All of the fish below were caught on this same fly --

 

I'm hoping to get out tomorrow and fish some more!  This time with a 5 weight - that wind was killer for the 3 weight today.

Cnograts on the slam that's a good day of fishing man. And pretty special to pull in the Snakehead too all on the same fly.

Thanks (and Rich).  I'm guessing "slam" means a good day fishing?  Odds are, I'll never catch a darned thing on that pattern now from here on out, lol.

And snakeheads don't get much prettier than that one! Gene you didn't see a sippy cup in the lot? Lost ours the other day.
