Oh, great.  Just great.   What the heck am I supposed to do with my huge Cabelas, fish-busting-out-of-window decals??  That doesn't even touch upon all the hats and underwear.

Hey, faceless billionaires:  Some of us are too old to forge completely new identities!

You've heard of White-Out, right?

Don't worry Gene, you can still get RealTree undies from Bass Pro. All you Cabelas stuff is now a collectors item. They'd probably become prized items for TPFR raffles. ;-)

they may keep both brands and BPS would be the parent company. Similar to Giant and Food Lion being owned by the same parent company. Who knows! I am more curious about what they will do where there are locations super close to each other. Such as in Richmond.
Cabelas in RVA (opened this year) is appx 20 Miles from Bass Pro (which opened 2008)  and there is greentop nearby. im sure there are other instances like this in other locations. I wonder how it will shake out.
Also there is a BPS and Cabelas within 20 miles of each other in Raleigh, both opened recently.

About a year ago I wen to the newly opened Cabela's outside  Raleigh, NC. Perhaps they hadn't gotten their act together by then in terms of staffing, training, displays, inventory, but I thought it sucked compared to their other locations. Barely better than going to Dicks ( I miss Galyans).

Quickened? Perhaps.

Accelerated? Absolutely.
