Had a great outing night fishing in Ocean City over the weekend.  Took my 9 year old nephew along for a midnight trip on saturday and hit the incoming tide just right.  He was hooking them left and right on spin gear and I was taking his leftovers on the fly. Between the two of us we landed about 40 fish between 15 - 20 inches in an hour or so of fishing (including much time down for tangles and taking pictures).  The highlight of the night was watching him catch his first fish ever on the fly, a pretty 16" inch fish that smashed bunker pattern.  If you head to the beach, make sure to bring the fly rod.  Oysterbay tackle's website has a good selection of fishing spots in lower OC, some of which can be great on the fly, but the beauty is that anywhere you find a good tide, some light and room to cast can be a good bet.  Also hear that redfish and sea trout are hanging around, though we didn't come across any of them.

What species were you catching?  Croaker and spot?  Were there any bluefish in?
