Fishin' Next Weekend

Wife (not a fly fisher) will be out of town for a portion of next week. So, I thought I would take a mini-vacation and do some fly fishing from next Thursday to Sunday. Was thinking of the South Branch of the Shenandoah. Jim put me on to a riverside campground at Bentonville. Will haul my pop-up down, bring the canoe, do some floating and some wading. Hopefully catch some fish!

 

Is anyone interested in joining me? I'm new to fly fishing. Started this Spring. Also, if anyone has a better idea (western MD?), I'm open.

 

Dan tried talking me into a canoe camping fishing trip. But I don't really have the gear.

Bryan.  The low water bridge campground in Bentonville was the location of Shenandoah River Rodeo this past weekend.  The most productive fly for me was a pink dahlberg diver, that delivered 10 smallies.   There were a ton of blue damsels on the water so patterns and poppers to match should be productive too.
