My dad is coming into town the weekend after Thanksgiving, and we want to take a day trip to go for some trout.  Does anyone have any suggestions within maybe a 90 minute drive or so?  I'm new to the area, so I'm not sure if this is even feasible but figured I'd ask!

Can't beat the scenery on big hunting creek in md. Fishing can be great at times too. Roy Rogers still has a location up there as a bonus.

There's still an excellent one near Bell Haven Marina, Belle View shopping center.

Big Hunting Creek is a good idea, however, if your dad has any problems walking/ hiking/ bouldering.  The canyon section could be tough for him,  above the parking lot it's much easier to wade.
There is also the Gunpowder  up rt. 83  north of Balt.  From Ashburn 98 mi.

When you guys are fishing Gunpowder, is it the section by the park?  Went hiking there with my girlfriend this past weekend and it looked like great fishing, but no one was on it.  I searched through the archives but couldn't find any mention of the park area.

The catch and release section is west of rt 83  off Mt Carmel road.  I usually fish above Falls road heading up to the dam.
