Fishy Elopement!

I know y’all will be able to help me with this! My fiancé and I are just not interested in a big stressful wedding. So! We are going fishing instead haha. We are thinking about eloping into the Adirondack Mountains in NY in the fall. Has anyone fished there?? Is it awesome?! We would love any other suggestions on beautiful places in the fall with outstanding fishing! Thanks!!

Quite frankly, I know of no fishing destination in the world, except maybe Labrador, that isn’t spectacular in Sept-Oct.

The Adirondacks are spectactular in the fall.  I have fished there a ton.  I would recommend the second half of september as that is usually peak foliage and many of those rivers have excellent fall isonychia hatches.  It is also a great time to hike into brook trout ponds as the fish get very active as the water temps drop from summer. good fishing can last into october but you also run the risk of it getting pretty chilly.  i have camped there in late september and temps have gotten below freezing at night.
