Ok. So this is not about fly fishing, I apologize. I am a best man in a friends wedding and he is not a fly fisherman. I was thinking about an ocean charter for 8 guys. The wedding is in the Outer Banks, NC. Does anyone have any input on that area for local knowledge or any suggestions for a captain? I have never fished salt water, always stuck to fly fishing trout.
Thanks in advance,
Dan Barrett

Your choices get very limited above six passengers due to Coast Guard regulations requiring more computed and expensive inspections. If Mike's guy didn't come through, there's a couple marinas (Oregon Inlet being one) that run nearly every charter boat. It's a little bit of a racket. The charters are basically all fixed price and extremely expensive for the relatively short distance they have to run to the productive fishing grounds.
