need a sinking line for the shad run.  taking suggestions on a sinking line.  i have a 15ft versitip that I could use but don't think that is long enough to get down off a row boat from fletchers.

thanks.

I use a 250-grain Streamer Express with either my 7-or 8-weight.  It's a great matchup with the 7.  One of my favorite combos to throw for schoolies on the Bay, too.

Any of the integrated shooting-head lines in the "fast sink" coating works well.

I'd probably use a 200gr on a "fast" 7-weight.  Go less if you want -- there's not much penalty for it and they all sink fairly similarly.

Though the Potomac there is most definitely a "river", I was advised to treat it more as a lake and I think that's a wise decision.

I have a 200 grain on my 6 and a 300 grain on my 8.  Don't have a 7 SH but seems like 250 would be great.

id look at airflo.  I like their line i just got.  if its a 2 handed rod, sink tips are great. and if you buy them in bulk they are cheap and you can make them any length you want.
