Accotink Creek - several species trip this morning 04-18-13

Hey - we had the day off and hit Accotink, despite the cloudy weather and light rain.  We actually enjoyed it more than we thought out there.  It's not a bad little creek. 
 
We got several different species per the pics below --
 
Thanks to Sam (of "the brothers") for encouraging us to try it out -- we'll probably return at some point.  Mostly I like the chubs -- I've been wanting to catch one of those for years now! 
 
We hit a pocket of trout and literally had one on every cast thing.  They might have just stocked because they seemed kind of hungry.

Nice, the creeks are starting to liven up. My wife and I went to our favorite creek and we got LMB, SMB, sunfish, and a crappie. It's always fun to get multiple species.

Hey Gene,

    Enjoye the fish and the photos.  You've encouraged me to get my VA trout stamp sooner rather than later.  I need to get out there before the real heat of the summer hits.
