Does anyone have any intel on whether there's any fishing that's worthwhile in late March in the Toronto area? I have to go up there for work for a few days and figured maybe I could throw a line in at some point. I'm having a hard time sifting through the regulations as well to determine even if steelhead are running if you're even allowed to fish for them.

Jeff:

Toronto is in Zone 16, http://bit.ly/2lkWrEt and next door to Zone 17, http://bit.ly/2lkXPa0 - links take you to PDFs from the provinces regs re seasons/limits.

Plus this page is usefull too: http://bit.ly/2ll5i96

I reached out to a friend. She told me to send you to Drift Fly Shop. Ask for Rob.

I second the recommendation for Drift fly shop, they were brand new when I was pat up there. It already had tons of great gear. They recommended I fish with Jeff Parks of Calmwater Fly Fishing. Had an awesome day of fly fishing with him on a nearby river for smallies. I got about 80 fish and missed a bunch more. Jeff was very knowledgeable flexible and a great guy to spend the day with.
