PJ Dailey from Savage River Angler and I spent 6 days In the Yakk Valley of North West MT fishing the Kootonie  river. We brought along 6 guests . We hired Linihan outfitting company for guiding and lodging. Tim and Joanne linihan were unbelievable hosts and the most genuine people you will ever come across. The fishing was superb. We saw new water eveyday one the 60 mile tailwater and saw only two other drift boats the entire week.

Tim's guides are very hard working and have great personalities. The dry fly fishing was great. Big foam chubbys would get eats all the way down the river. Definitely some huge fish opportunities on the Kootonie if you are willing to chuck streamers.

I was lucky enough to run into the largest Bull Trout the outfitter has ever landed and one of my guests Lack Lawson bagged a 10lb rainbow. The scenery was breathtaking as well.I had such an amazing time i booked the place again for next year July 21 to 27.
