Hi Guys,

With all the rain most of the places I normally fish are blown out. My wife wants to get some more practice casting in but would rather do it while actually trying to catch fish. Is there anywhere in the DC area we can go that isn't going to be a wash?

Thanks

If you have the means, I suggest SNP or other upstream locations. The rain has kept water temps down and fishing should be decent. I hit up SNP a couple weeks ago under similar conditions and had a good day on the water.

Good call. Might be a good weekend to stick to lakes.  The ones in Reston are pretty decent - Fairfax, Anne, Newport, etc.

I'd suggest small wild trout streams, which should be on fire right now, but the non-SNP ones I frequent aren't exactly the best place for casting practice.
