Hey -- this would probably only happen to me, but Beth and I were suiting up at the tailgate earlier today and I suddenly felt a lit match on my thigh!  Well, I kind of thought it was just my pants catching a hair (or whatever) but after it lasted more than 5 seconds I decided to get the heck out of my waders!

Anyway -- Beth was turning my pant leg inside out and sure enough -- a disoriented yellowjacket fell out of the boot.  He's no longer disoriented -- that's safe to say.

I don't think there's a point to this -- it may be a warning to not store dum dums in your wader pants in the bed of your truck I guess.

Oh, ConRapiStaun fished "decent" today.  The big river was still too high for the kind of action we like, but the smaller river off 615 was about ideal.  Beth got a pretty nice brown (14") for such a small stream.  She's my big fish good luck charm ;).

Caution:  Rt. 615 was severely washed out....maybe worse than 649.  I would NOT attempt in a car without ground clearance.  Twice you drove over flowing water actually --

Oh!  And I saw my second SNP bear today too.  We probably fished there....I don't know how many times in the last 2 years and never saw a single bear (which I griped about on here).  Now we've seen 2 in the last couple of months.  Go figure.

Another bear this morning! Cute one climbing down a tree.

Fishing is on too! Lot of early leaf peepers out.

Where are you seeing these bears? I was out at Karo Landing today. That place looks like a giant cluster fudge after all that rain. Still managed a few smallies.

I avoid those stinging bastards and their hymenoptera relations like the plague.
