Hey TPFRs,

I am headed to Ascension Bay in July of this year. Staying in Punta Allen at a TBD fishing lodge. Has anyone been there? Have any recommendation on guides or lodges?

Tom, I have been to Pesc Maya just north of PA. I was there in late Feburary a few years back. The bonefishing was great. Saw 2, but did not catch, permit. No tarpon. Lots of good lodges along there. If you have any back issues from rough roads (about 1.5 hours of such), one of the lodges offers a boat ride to skip the roughest part of the road south from Tulum, but I can't remember which one. Also, Frontier and Yellow Dog can assist you with booking a lodge.
