Looking for someone to go fishing on Friday

I have a free day on Friday, and am looking for somebody to go fishing
with. We can rent a boat at Fletcher's, or take my canoe out somewhere,
or whatever. Shad, bass, snakeheads -- it's all good. Let me know.

HEY MIKE,

 

 

      I work during the daytime tommorrow so unfortunately I will be missing the Shad fun.  However, If your interested, I'm planning to to do a couple hours after work (approx. 6PM  to 8 PM)  at the Tidal Basin over by the Jefferson Memorial.  If you interested, let me know.  I'ts easy to get there by metro (Smithsonian Metro station on Orange line).

I am heading to the Tidal Basin as well. I am planning on getting there a little after 6:00 PM. What are you fishing for? Anyting in specific?

Good amount of variety.  Large and Small mouth Bass, Carp, Yellow Perch, Channel Catfish, Snakeheads and a whole variety of Sunfish etc.....  I have only been successful with a sinking line and stripping flies but I know plenty of people that use dry flys and nymphs with success.  Just make sure you have your DC license and make sure to keep an eye out on your back cast.  LOTS of tourists with LOTS of questions.  :)
