In a few weeks I am meeting my family outside of Phillipi, WV for some R&R in a cabin for a long weekend. The place is located on a creek feeding the Tygart Valley River and close to Tygart Lake. Also looks like within 30 minute drive of Cheat River. Any fishing recommendations is greatly appreciated.

You're only an hour and a half-ish form Seneca Creek which has wild trout all over the place. Have been told most (if not almost all) of the small streams and creeks hold native brook trout and some wild rainbows.. Roaring run also rings a bell. Curtis Flemming did a whole series on fly fishing along route 219 so theres another lead. Find something skinny that starts high and flows east and you'll probably run into trout.
