Centre LSD Commences Mentorship program for OGP States in Nigeria

 

The African Centre for Leadership, Strategy & Development (Centre LSD) in furtherance of its project implementation “Promoting Transparency and Accountability in the governance process through the implementation of the Open Government Partnership (OGP) in Nigeria” with the support of the MacArthur Foundation, Thursday October 6th, 2022, commenced mentoring support for States that have signed up to the partnership, beginning with Taraba State.

 

A statement released by the Programme Coordinator of Centre LSD, Mr. Lawal Amodu, stated that the two-day event will offer opportunities to hear state specific progress report and concerns, and provide guide where necessary to advance implementation of the Partnership principles in the state.

 

Taraba State is one of the twenty-four states that have signed up to the OGP and is determined to move forward with its commitment to enthroning transparency and accountability and citizens participation in its governance processes.

 

The event will feature presentation on leadership and Open Government Partnership, pep talks on keys to organizational effectiveness, dwell on issues, and challenges in the operationalization of the State Action Plan (SAP) and chart the way forward.
