If the hardware and software settings are not matched, even the best computer hardware cannot display the correct colours. First the monitor settings are affected, then the colour settings of the image editing software, and finally the printer settings. If just one of these settings is incorrect, the monitor display often does not match the printout.
With Quick Color Match, all you need to do is select the paper and the software makes the necessary adjustments to the colour management settings, allowing you to quickly and easily match the monitor display and printout with each other.
Adobe Photoshop CC / CS6 (recommended), Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop Elements, Canon Digital Professional, Nikon ViewNX-i (these programs must be manually configured). Colour matching is done via the print plug-in rather than the image editing software.
Quick Color Match is a software that makes complex colour management workflow much easier for home inkjet printers. You can use Quick Color Match by dragging and dropping to make the necessary adjustments to monitor, software, and print settings. This allows you to quickly and easily match the monitor display and printout with each other.
Quick Color Match was developed by EIZO in cooperation with Adobe, Canon, and Epson. In close collaboration with leading global companies in the creative industry, EIZO developed a quick and easy software programme for printing photos on home inkjet printers.
2. With a Few Clicks: Fast and Easy Colour ManagementIf the hardware and software settings are not matched, even the best computer hardware cannot display the correct colours. First the monitor settings are affected, then the colour settings of the image editing software, and finally the printer settings. If just one of these settings is incorrect, the monitor display often does not match the printout.
To photograph a series of identical objects in different colors, simply shoot one of them. Then duplicate the photo and color match each one to a different hue, keeping every element but the color the same.
Match color from one image (the source image) to another (the target image) to make sure you have consistency across different photos. For example, you might want to make a series of wedding photos look consistent despite the shifting light throughout the day. You can apply the look of one image you like to another.
Follow these steps to make one object the same color as another in an image, whether on the same or different layers or projects. This method is good for changing the color of an article of clothing, like a shirt or jumpsuit.
The target color will reflect your source sample. Move the sliders to fine-tune your color match. To automatically remove a color cast, or tint, in the target image, select the Neutralize option under the sliders in the dialog box. Make sure that the Preview option is selected so that you can see how your edits will affect the image.
Click the color square in the toolbar. The color picker dialog box will open, but if you mouse over the image, you can use the Eyedropper tool to select the color you want from the colors in the image.
In Normal blending mode, the color will wipe out the shadows, highlights, and textures of your object. You can scroll through the options to see how different blending modes change the image. For the most faithful color, select the Color blending mode, which will blend the hue and saturation but not the brightness. Keep the opacity of the blend mode high so all of the color value from the base layer shows up.

- The wide color gamut reproduces almost the entire Adobe RGB color space so images shot in Adobe RGB will be displayed correctly. Photos of vibrant blue skies and lush green forests are reproduced faithfully in a way that monitors limited to an sRGB color space cannot display. The wide color gamut also ensures reproduction of almost the entire ISO-coated and US web-coated CMYK color spaces used in printing.
- Using the DisplayPort or HDMI inputs, the monitor offers 10-bit simultaneous display* from a 16-bit look-up-table (LUT) which means it can show more than one billion colors simultaneously. This is 64 times more colors than you get with 8-bit display, resulting in smooth color gradations and reduced Delta-E between two adjacent colors. Note: A graphics board and software which support 10-bit output are also necessary for 10-bit display. Equipment that supports Deep Color is necessary with the HDMI inputs.
- The gamma level for each ColorEdge monitor is adjusted at the factory by measuring the R, G, and B gamma values from 0 - 255, then using the monitor's 16-bit look-up-table (LUT) to select the most appropriate tones and achieve the desired value.
