For those who are parents or otherwise know Ultimate-playing or Ultimate-interested kids in middle or high school, here’s a few opportunities from Davis Youth Ultimate (DYU):

 

GRIT Youth Tournament this Sunday, June 6^th

 

Davis Youth Ultimate will be hosting its annual Grip and Rip IT (GRIT) tournament on Sunday June 6, 2021 from 8am-2pm. While we normally invite teams from other regions, we are keeping it local this year, with over 50 players already registered, from 6^th-12^thgrader, as well as some recent alums. Tryouts for a Davis-based team for Youth Club Championships this summer

 

On different track, Davis Youth Ultimate (DYU), in partnership with Sacramento Ultimate Players Association (SUPA), has secured a bid for a U17 team to compete at the Youth Club Championships (YCC) Nationals over the weekend of August 7-9 in Blaine Minnesota this summer (https://usaultimate.org/youth/club-championships/). While it is a Boys division, we plan to take up to 21 boys and girls to play on our team. This is an exciting opportunity for this group of some 8^th, 9^th, and 10^th graders, and we’d love to have a few more players. We will have tryouts and practices in the summer in Davis leading up to the Nationals, but we can be also be understanding of summer plans.
