Hi all,

Many of you may know Bob Wertzberger from the Northern California Ultimate scene over the long years. I just got the sad news that he died this morning of cancer.

The message from his good friend and teammate Ken Kirsch is attached below.

He was a founder of the Davis Ultimate Invitational, a GGM champion with Relics and a legend on and off the field. He wrote and performed music as a punk rock demigod with a sly sense of humor.

He and his buttery crossfield lefty high-release will be sorely missed.

Cedric,

Just wanted to let you know that Bob passed away at 12:30 this morning. He was with his family and friends in Petaluma. He had been battling Stage IV cancer for two years but was still on the golf course just a few weeks ago. His brother said he died quickly and peacefully.

If you have any frisbee photos to share, I would love to see them. Even though we struggled, I am still really glad we had that opportunity to compete together one last time in Colorado.

Can you please pass this on to the greater frisbee world? Bob should be remembered.
